Diamond Ring Customization Process
Step 1: Determine the wedding or proposal date
The customer’s wedding date or proposal date is very important. Many customers come in and ask for diamond expertise. After much discussion, they ask about the delivery date and are stunned. Unexpectedly, there is no time for customization and everything is in vain.
The customization time for diamond rings is usually 20-25 days, including diamond procurement, computer CAD publishing, processing and inlaying, certificate making, shipping, etc. The whole process takes time, so if you choose customization, it is necessary to reserve nearly a month’s time, prepare in advance and give enough time.
Step 2: Determine the Diamond Level
If there is enough time, the next thing to determine is the level and price of diamonds. If the customer is familiar with diamonds, they can directly provide the desired level parameters and ask the merchant to provide a quote. If the customer is not familiar with diamonds, they can recommend suitable or cost effective diamonds based on their budget and approximate needs. Of course, during the entire communication process, many questions may be asked and any responsible merchant will patiently answer them (like me, haha).
Step 3: Determine the Style of the Diamond Ring
Custom diamond rings reflect flexibility in style, allowing you to create any style you desire. If you have a particular style that you like, it’s very convenient. Simply confirm the style and place an order. If you don’t have a particular favorite, the merchant can provide some styles for you to choose from. If you don’t think the pictures have a concept, you can try on styles in a jewelry store and take more pictures of your favorite styles. The more the better, the clearer the better, and you can also create them.
Step 4: Purchase diamonds
Purchasing diamonds can actually be done when determining the diamond level, simultaneously with the third step, to save time. After the diamond level is determined, it is necessary to purchase diamonds, and of course, a small deposit is required at this time. The purpose of the deposit is to prevent customers from changing the main stone level or changing the style during the customization process. Merchants need to advance their own funds to purchase diamonds, and after placing an order, wax plates and other items are also ordered. Changing them midway can cause huge losses, and the deposit is also for this purpose.
Step 5: Computer CAD design and drawing
After determining the style, this step can be synchronized and the physical drawing can be sent to the factory. The factory will design based on the physical drawing and produce a CAD design drawing. From the design drawing, detailed information can be seen, such as the shape of the ring support, etc. This design drawing will be given to the customer. The physical object only has been seen by the customer, and can be corresponding to the physical object through the design drawing. If there are any problems or modifications, they can be modified. When it is finally confirmed.
